Statuses to understand
Subscription status affects user expectations and product access. The portal should explain status clearly before users assume a feature is broken.
- ACTIVE means normal access.
- PAST_DUE should show a billing warning but should not immediately hard-block users.
- CANCELLED is a historic or scheduled cancellation state.
- Cancellation should be described as scheduled with access until period end.
- Use the backend-provided billing portal URL to manage payment details.
Check billing before feature debugging
If a user cannot access a product area, review subscription status and seat assignment before troubleshooting the feature itself.
